LE VELO

Le Velo transforms a vacant inner city tenancy into a vibrant cycling café that blends community connection, sustainability and industrial character. The open layout integrates a café, retail space and bicycle repair workshop, creating a hub for cyclists and locals alike.

Ceiling heights are maximised to preserve the raw industrial aesthetic while framing expansive views of the Parramatta River. A corten steel staircase becomes a striking focal point, linking the two levels and reinforcing the material palette.

At the heart of the space, a centrally positioned bar encourages social interaction and anchors the lively atmosphere, resulting in a venue that celebrates cycling culture with architectural clarity and warmth.
